your stock and n/a its gonna knock and its ok. if you can tune it out you'll get more power out of it tho.

And also would NA and supercharged have a different range as far as how much KR is normal for each?

It's an NA motor so you're fine. More boost than stock + KR = bad. But you don't have that problem. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're planning on modding or doing something special to it. Even stock 3800SC cars knock. I saw 4-5+* of KR stock. No biggie.

Also if you're worried about it, and you don't already, Put in some 93 instead of 87.

When do you see KR? When I was NA I was seeing 5-6 when shifting. Simply adding a 3" FWI, I rarely seen spikes like that again. Maybe coincidence, dunno because I didn't run NA long. But a downpipe and cai or hai will definitely help you.

And ideally you don't want any KR when FI. You can get away with a few degrees, but it seems these pistons are easy to chip so ideally you should tune it all out if possible.

I only see it when I get on the throttle. At idle I don't see any at all. I just wanted to make sure and get some peace of mind. I'm not modded yet but I will when I free up some money. Haha. I'll probably end up top swapping or swapping out the motor with a lower mileage one. I'm currently at 155k I think.
