How hard would it be to do the u-bend delete myself? Assuming I can get my butt under the car, would it be that hard to replace with the straight piece?
00' GTP- CAI, HID's and a u-bend delete is all I have done so far, but I am just getting started.

No, easy as pie! Is why it's one of the easiest mods with most benefit. But I would recommend considering installing headers instead and set yourself up for whatever mods you may want in the future. Will make things breathe even better. But if it seems too much for you, then the Ubend delete is a good place to start.

I also suggest a set of Headers.

Pick up a set of Speed Daddy Headers off eBay. $220ish to your front door.

Headers are the "foundation" to modding in my opinion. Since they can be bought for so cheap now, I would suggest definitely going that route.

If you are just going to install the u-bend, you need a welder. I would buy a 3" downpipe instead. That will bolt right in, and take care your ubend as well.

Cool, thank you for the help and suggestions! The only reason I was going the u-bend delete route was due to money issues.

Better off to wait, save and do the right job (headers), than spend less and get 1/2 the benefit for the $...
    Strickly my opinion : )

Does "doing the job right" mean going with a set of TOG's or zzp headers then? Surely using the cheapo knockoffs of slp's isn't considered doing it "right", is it?
