So I’m gonna replace the tranny and motor mounts on my 2006 with solid ones. I’ve used the Anchor brand before on my 97 and those mounts suck. They split right down the middle in a matter of months. I’m looking at the DEA brand and what to know what brands you guys have used.

Also I know I could drill and fill my OE ones but I just wanna throw some new ones in. They only list a solid motor mount for the 97-03 years and I know members have used them in the 04+ but they are 1 inch shorter than the 04+ mounts. Don’t know how I feel about that.

I would like to know the the best ones to use as well. Also is there any negatives to using the poly mounts that ZZP sells, other than the ridiculously high price!

Some people don't like the vibration that poly causes but from what I've seen, Poly cracks over time.

Good to know. Hopefully someone will chime in with some good alternatives.

Just get new GM mounts. They keep things plenty tight, unless you want new noises and vibrations for nothing really gained.

    Huh.

I have had Anchor solid rubber replacements.

    Never had an issue.

ZZP's poly mounts however have bolt split down the middle.

Cons to the poly mounts are exactly that...poly. They're much more solid/rough than standard or even solid rubber mounts.

i have never found a "solid" mount.

all ive found are hollow "dry" mounts and mounts with the void filled with hydraulic oil or a clear silicone oil.

i have filled dozens of mounts with window urethane, different brands/years of production.

the drill bit hits a void on all of em.

i like to find the dry ones as it means less cleaning to inject em with the urethane.

just get a new engine/trans mount, drill/clean em, and shoot em full of windshield urethane and let em sit for a couple weeks.

your mounts will now never collapse and will last the life of the vehicle.

Do you have part numbers for the dry mounts?
