I'm getting a P1441 error code on my ]97 Grand Prix, so I bought an evap purge valve and solenoid. The problem is, I don't know where the components are located on the car. Can anyone tell me where they are and if possible provide a diagram or pictures. Thank you.

The two black items one has a blue/gray connector and the other has a red/gray connector. Both are sitting right behind the alternator.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Thanks guys, but I don't agree that both components are located behind the alternator, and the diagram doesn't jive with what I know. I already replaced the purge solenoid and it was located in the front top of the engine. Five minute job. I've been told by a mechanic that the purge valve is located close to the gas tank/evap canister. Anyway, thanks again for your input.

this is your title right? EVAP Purge valve & solenoid location

your looking for the vent solenoid, not the purge, you asked for purge, so you got directions to it.

vent solenoid is on the rear quarter panel under your gas fill door. theres a black plastic tank, it sits on top of this tank. the tank goes bad too, if its got gas inside it, its bad
