Good lord your trying everything but what cause my issues a .03 washer just for grins maybe try it. Again even tho my terminal were tight as could be there wad a tiny enough gap it would not complete the circuit. This caused intermitted security light no dash lights no starts from time to time
battery cables dont kill the power to the starter signal wire. the fat 12 volt battery cable clearly has power to the starter.
Alright, engine is up and running well, however my oil pressure gauge is reading at a static 150 PSI, and when I unplug it from the sending unit it reads the three dashes, so no reading. Anyone know why that would be? I would like to have the oil pressure gauge working properly - in case something happens - I will know right away. Perhaps a short?
It's an AEM electronic oil pressure gauge.
you may have a defective sender. or a pinched wire maybe.
I'm guessing I can't just pick a new sender up from AutoZone, I'll have to contact AEM?
yeah, dont think its a off the shelf part.
did it ever work? or is it newly installed?
It's newly installed.
My boost gauge also won't read into the positive... My guess is I tapped into the wrong line?.. It reads vacuum just fine.
