its been done. good luck finding the tranny. ( if you find one it will cost dearly) then theres all the fab work. really not worth it. but it sure does seem like fun.

i would think that finding an f40 out of a g6 would be the easiest. lots of work for not lots of reward. you are going to have to be real nice to it or suffer the consequences. on the brighter side you can still get a quaife diff for it.

Is the diff the only weak point though? I put a Quaiffe in my Stealth after breaking a few diffs and played a little too hard once and ended up breaking 2nd gear. I guess since the diff wasn't going to fail/break that something else did.

Okay; the website offers the F40, and it'll fit any Metric pattern engine (including Series II & III)... aren't they (or someone else) going to offer a whole conversion kit as well? I saw one for N-body, but my car is far from being a Grand Am or Alero!

Cobalt guys F40 swap when they want big power. Matt from ZZP runs 10s (iirc) on his stock F40. Only failure he bad was ripping the mounts out of the trans (cracking the case) on a hard launch.
