I was doing some work near the rack and I noticed a drip. It is a small hole or puncture in the boot. It looks similar to the hole when you get your blood taken. It is located on the part of the boot that is easily seen.

Is there anything I can use to seal this? tire patch? some type of paste? It is right on the tip. I thought about heating the puncture so the rubber may melt a bit and seal itself. But i wanted to ask first.

that boot is a dust boot, no fluid should be in there. so that being said, its time for a new rack soon.

you can try some rack fluid with sealer in it, may help add some time.

its where the inner tie rod goes into the rack its fluid coming out, especially once it is started. I may have actually punctured it myself

like i said, thats a dust boot, not a fluid boot. if the boot is leaking the rack is dead. the end seal is leaking. not worth rebuilding.
