    i had to replace my battery a few months ago thto the poss. cable breaking off the batteryt was like that for a while and didnt notice it right away,the car kept throwing a bank one lean cond code,got that straightened out but a number of trys and it wont go thru emmis.d i cant reg. the car till it does. the guy said i have to drive it for 150 miles for it to relearn do i need to drive it that far, thanx 01 gp gt

    All you people using short hand to type out stuff makes it nearly impossible to read or follow a post, geeeesh?

    Thankfully I have some foreign language training and was able to make out what you said.

    Its not that you have to drive it a specific distance. Its that the PCM needs to run the emissions test. That could happen within minutes of starting the car up or it could be several miles.

    When the PCM is reset as it is from when you disconnect battery power the Emissions test shows incomplete in an OBD-II scan. Until that clears and the test run you will fail an OBD-II inspection. Sometimes they reset quickly, sometimes they dont and all you can really do is just drive the thing.

    myself and my brother in law that works at a chevy dealer spent 4 hrs on that car one nite, there is no vac leaks or any other thing that we found besides when my blower was leaking the oil got into the pcm, i got a 30 day temp so i can drive it on nice days and i will go from there,i dought the pcm lost the tuning i had done, thats what i was told anyway
