Heck I'd change it just so it won't even be a thought anymore.
Before we condemn the cam.. what does the roller of the suspect lifter look like? If it's looking good, then the cam is likely not an issue. No metal in the oil pan is also a good sign that the cam is fine.
Is compression on that cylinder still an issue?
I meant to post a picture of the lifter roller. Does this look like proper wear?

From what we can see, I'd say it does.
Looks fine.
Its a cell phone pic uploaded from tapatalk that's why its so ****ty.
Joe.. Dave is worried you plan to yank the cam. Looks like it's probably fine and isn't causing your issue.
Thanks bill.
That cam is staying in there no matter what until winter is over.
Now I'm gonna see if I can find an ICM. Then I'm gonna re do all my vac lines.
silicone vac lines ftw?
Didnt i say ICM like 30 years ago for this whole situation? lol
That would be nice if you could send me one.
Tyler if its the ICM I'm gonna blow it up.
And ill laugh for not changing something so simple ages ago......
I'll dig around today and let you know if I have one. If not I can pull one for you sometime this week if you don't have access to a JY with plenty of 3800s lol
There really aren't any junk yards around here.
Ok. I'll let you know. I think I still have your number too.
