    http://www.amazon.com/OBX-Exhaust-Po...d+prix+headers

Not sure if anyone has tried these. They say they are for 99-05 NA motors but I would think they would work for the supercharged L67 motors as well?? They look like they'd be a much easier install and would avoid the leaks of some of the other brands.

exhaust runner sizes look to be just under that of the PLOG and other header options. Correct me if I am wrong though

Let me know what you guys think.

I don't see why they wouldn't work on SC engines. Also i would think they would work on any series 2 or 3 not just 99-05

I'd agree.. The question would then come down to the size of the primaries, crossover, and DP. Seem pretty close to that of other header options, just not sure if the slight difference is really that restrictive

Yeah, I have no idea. Some of the OBX headers directly resemble the pacesetter options on Amazon/EBay.

Those $200 eBay headers have been proven to fit without any or much modification.. Id stick with SD's. I remember the OBX requiring a ton of work to get them to fix correctly.. IIRC the crossover was wrong and needed to be cut and welded to get it to work..

I'd be very curious to see how easy these OBX headers would perform and how easy they'd be to install on an L67 GTP setup

RedComp, I remember seeing/ hearing that as well. Only thing is these OBX headers are a different setup then the normal ones people refer too I believe

They could be but you'll probably end up benign a guinea pig and seeing if they will work with little to no modification.. For that price id just stick with SDs and keep it simple. Or stick with the whole plog/dp combo like some guys do depending on ultimately your goals.

Edit: and yes if they fit on a N/A block they will fit on a SC setup...

all good points. Thanks for the feedback. Agreed that I'd probably be a guinea pig with these if I gave them a shot

They are different from the ebay OBX headers, the crossover is different along with where all the pipes merge. Who knows, be a guinea pig!

I am getting tempted... Can already tell the install should definitely be a lot easier. Only a couple pipe connections!

In a platform old as the one we are all working with, there are no hidden secrets left, jewels to find and what worked is getting harder and harder to find. That said, I for one would stick with what's known and good, meaning at the very least SD's... But if you're willing to go through what the OBX require to make work, why not just invest in some stainless mandrel pipes and make your own headers
: ) hell... You might even get so adventurous you could fabricate even length tubes, thereby making our exhaust sound decent!

now that would be worthy of ginuea pig status for sure!!!
    : ) lol...

Did some more searching and it looks this these are a direct copy of the S&S Headers. Same sizes and shape. Anyone ran S&S headers on a GTP with good results? I know the size seems more geared towards NA cars..

This. They dont fit right and end up needing modifications to fit and seal. Stay away from them. The Speed Daddy headers fit and seal without issue if you do it right.

These headers suck for wbodies. I run them in all the fiero swaps I do because they are more modular and easy to mod for rwd.

In fwd they love to leak at the y and the front manifold hits the trans really bad on at least the non obx version of these (some other company sold these for like $150 a set)
