Okay so this problem is really obnoxious and I can't figure out what it is and everyone seems pretty stumped by it so far. Seems to only start really happening at full running temp. Car drives fine and everything but it sounds like a teapot going off under low throttle or deacceleration or idle basically... Its loud enough that you notice it inside the car, even if the stereo was on. I've made some terrible videos of the situation, might be hard to hear in the video I'm not sure...

But yeah it makes 10-12psi of boost, dyno tuned well, runs great (other than ****ty gas milage because my torque converter sucks). Any ideas?

really would it whistle like that? Its deffo coming from the front and Im pretty sure I do have a leak somewhere likely where the headers connect to the downpipe or something.

When was the last time you checked the pcv valve. If a ring is missed under it or the it'll do a whistle BTW can't see vid at work..so I'm shooting w/o hearing.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

My PCV valve is blocked off due to the genV/SSIC setup. I have the valve cover breather alternative.

I have been told that drilling a hole in a N* throttle plate could cause that...

Could it be your EVAP block off plates? or I was going to say it sounded like Alternator whine through the speakers.

My friend had a crack in his Y pipe and it made a crazy whistling noise at certain RPM's...

So my exhaust leak was due to my downpipe gasket. Thats all fixed. Flex is fine. Alternator is fine. This whistle is coming directly from the supercharger itself. Like near where the snout connects/midish area.

If you take the belt off it is immediatelly gone. This whistle only happens at idle or low revs, and its completely gone at any rev with the belt off.

I've been basically told that this is normal for a genV with a 3.1 pulley to make this obnoxious noise... Might end up going turbo just because I dislike this so much lol. I love the whine of superchargers but this whistle crap and low rpms/idle is gay. Just sounds like somethings wrong with the car.

My old car on a gen3 with a 3.2 pulley didnt get anything like this but this is a genV with more boost so I guess thats what it is. Oh well...

Get a slight whistle that sounds like its coming from my gen 3 stock pully

Its more prominent in the cold and at low rpms. At high rpms it get so high pitched you cant hear it.

Is it loud? I havent got a chance to watch the video im in class

Its very loud, audible inside the car with the stereo up and makes more noise than anything else. In the video the windows were up n' all.

Mines not more prominent in the cold, its actually more prominent after its been running for awhile. I dont hear it at all at any other rpms but the whine and noise of my exhaust could probably mask it some even if it was.

Yours might be a vac leak.

Vacuum leak from drilled hole in throttle body, like Josh said. ZZP's bandaid is dumb. All that's being created is a lean condition from unmetered air post MAF sensor.

Go get a new throttle blade from a junkyard and have the tune made right, not band-aided like ZZP did to you.

Not sure how many times I gotta tell you this...

Then why does it entirely go away with the belt off the supercharger? And the noise isnt coming from near the throttle body at all either.

If you're talking about when I open the hood...then LOL XP Cam Start-Up - YouTube

Maybe get a different power adder.

Roots blowers aren't quiet...but they aren't as loud as centrifugal ones.

I suggest a stock airbox for you then.

Yeah I dunno mine sounds diff than yours but similar... I like the whine during higher throttle just not the whistley idle thing/low throttle thing lol.

Then, I suggest stock intake + paper panel filter to keep it quiet.
