About 2-3 weeks ago my car needed a LIM job done and I got annoyed with it and took it to a shop to have it done. Today was the first day I've needed to use the AC or heat. I noticed setting number 1 and 2 are the same, no audible blower noise, just air moving from the vents with the car's speed. Three works just fine, did they damage something during the LIM job?

    Thanks!

No they did not. The climate control fan speed has nothing to do with a LIM job. Likely your blower resistor or ignition switch is bad

Awesome, sorry that was my go to thought. I remember seeing this :
"Turn off Electronic Climate Control Gearhead Stan reminds you that before you disconnect the battery, it is a good idea to turn the Climate Control off, with the ignition key in the on position. This will minimize the potential for damage to the airmix door actuator that can occur if you don't." and that's why that was my first thought. Can you direct me to where the blower resistor and/or ignition switch are and how to check them?

Gearhead Stan.. that sounds like a Bonneville forum post. It doesn't necessarily help, as it's talking about an air mix actuator door, not fan speed issue.

As for being sorry.. no worries, I'm not your mechanic and they'd tell you the same. It happens, but it's unrelated.

Directions to the resistor - Pull passenger front dash kick panel, it's behind the blower. Search here for blower motor resistor and there are probably a billion pictures/how to's.

Directions to the ignition switch - I believe you typed this out of habit. If you need directions to locate your one and only way to start the car... uh...I'm not sure I can help.

haha yes.... I didn't sleep very much last night so that was typed from half closed eye lids. Thanks Bill, I'll check it out and see if I can figure out what's up.
