Changed the battery in my 04 GP GT and went to start the car and it took longer to fire. Normally she fires up right away and now it takes a couple revolutions before it actually fires.
does it need to relearn because of the battery replacement?

How many times has that happened since you swapped the battery??
Unless you changed the battery to one with different rated cranking amps, I bet you're fine. I'd give it a few days and see how it's doing. I don't believe the computer learns much from a starting standpoint since that doesn't effect your fuel trims much.
Check the amperage sensor (black round thing) on the ground wire at the battery.
PCM just needs to re learn drive it for like 20min and it should be fine

Could it have a been a "weak" new battery? There is a manufacturing date code on the side which is a small round sticker with a letter followed by a number. The letter stands for the month of mfg, A=Jan, B=Feb, the number is the last digit of year. A C4 sticker =March 2014. You may have bought a battery that was not fully charged and needed to be driven for a while to charge the battery.
