So I hit a deer new year's eve with my '05. We finally got everything back together last week, and I drove it home from my parents' after we finished, and I hear the power steering whine. It's cold as balls lately, so I haven't really been able to diagnose anything very well, all I know is there looks to be a minor leak from the passenger side, more toward the front. Like for reference, directly under the passenger headlight.
I replaced the pressure line pretty much exactly a year ago, and that was surprisingly terrible to do.
It's weird because I drove to work this morning, and when I started it up at my apartment, it was fine, no whine whatsoever. Stopped to get gas, and the car was off for like two minutes tops. Start it up again, and the whine was there immediately.
Is it possible all the shrapnel from the deer hit shredded something down there? Or given the location of the leak, could it be the rack?
