How do I remove this egr tube from the exhaust manifold? I bought the backing plates from zzp and the intake one had a 13mm bolt that just comes right off, but the exhaust side looks like it is like welded into the plate. I tried a 13mm socket and it just turns cuz its like welded on or something. Guys got any advice?

reach around the other side where the bolt head is located.. it's either a 10mm or 13mm

its a nut and bolt, so on the back side is a bolt head, and then theres the nut you can see. so you need 2 wrenches. or a wrench and a socket.

But the bolt on the back is like stripped and the front where the tube starts on the bottom where I took the pic, no wrenches or sockets fit on there. It's like a circle

The bolt ..is out of sight. It is at an odd angle and requires a bit of trying. If it's stripped, then you are effed. The side you can see is a flange like Bio said and there's no turning it.

Only other way to get that out, besides turning the bolt the proper direction, is grind it off.

bet you're using the wrong socket, not it being rounded off.

I was able to get it off with a 10mm socket. It was such an awkward angle so I had to lower the wrench in slow so I did't drop my extension. Came off with some force. I hope black silicone rtv is ok cause that's what I used. I should've picked up high temp stuff, but I already had a bottle of the black stuff. BTW thanks for the advice guy's.

NP, we like to help out.

Reason for me mentioning it's either a 13 or 10 was so you'd have the right tool. Either the socket will be too small, too big or just perfect.

Ya, I was futsing around with a 13mm and it seemed like it was the size, probably caught it on an angle that's why I thought it was stripped. Put the ten on and it took some force, but finally budged.
