Your climate doesnt really change a whole lot if anything when it comes to modding.
Personal preference for me is doing somesort of exhaust mod first. Be it headers or a plog/downpipe combo. Then once that it done you can explore other things such as a pulley drop to maybe a 3.6 to 3.4, always depends on what the car likes. Running the highest octane you can aswell. A in car tune is what I prefer over a canned mail order tune, that can do alot to help with how the car drives and reacts to the mods.
