First of all, 1999 grand prix gtp. I was looking into why my interior lights weren't working. The first place I checked was the fuse box. The 10a fuse was not in the box. I bought some a little later and when I put one in it immediately popped. Any idea what could cause this?

Well, theres a short or bad bulb somewhere. If it were me, first place I would look is at the fragile little lamps up by the seat belt loop on the B pillar. They are easily broken.

Wait ... if you have a sedan those lamps are uh- I don't know where, I'm used to coupes. Just check every bulb you can get to. Map lamp wires could be easily damaged at the overhead console too, if so equipped.
