    I'd stick a fuel pressure gauge on it, maybe see if someone bumped the distributor and put it out of time.

    Maybe see if the EGR is sticking open aswell or the cats clogged.

    My buddy had a 2500 silverado with the 5.0 and the cat plugged up and it would run great and then like crap later, the egr was also an issue aswell.

    I doubt the distributors been touched because the car hasn't had anything done to it since this Kid had it. I guess the cat could be clogged but it seems to cut out when it's running bad and comes back if you floor it. I'll probably just delete the egr if it's an issue. Damn obd2 is do much easier lol

    I told you Dan, I ran into this same issue with a Cadillac Fleetwood...same engine. Turned out to be a bad O2 and a glitchy TPS.

    I might just unhook the o2 and see what it does. Should run fine with it unhooked right?

    On the distributor 3 of the little contacts were melted and the rotor was in bad shape as well. Original at 141k
