Hi, I am in need of the wire schematics for the headlights for a 2000 GTP. I have installed the pulse timer for HIDs and I am having problems. I am sure that the timer is bad, but we are wanting to check out some other things. Thank You ! Scott

I bought it from this gentelman off e-bay.
DEI 528T DEI-528T DEI528T Pulse Timer SPDT Relay NEW - eBay (item 350123768642 end time Dec-10-08 12:34:55 PST)
I have a question. To move the alarm, so the side marker flash you take the
yellow wire at the headlight switch and cut it. You the splice the end that
is coming out of the switch in with the brown wire at the headlight switch.
The other end of the yellow wire that is going back into the harness you
tape up. Is the correct? Thank You! Scott

yes tape it up well as when the lights are on it will have 12v+ to it....hmm....I was looking at building this one: CBRWorld.net - How To Make A HID / Headlight Delay - Take Poll At Bottom!

You can also buy them pre-built here: http://www.tripageled.com/main.html look for Honda CBR 600 then HID Delay

if your wanting to look at them...I know you just want to get yours working.

Thanks Jeff! I looked at them and it made my head hurt. Wiring is not my strong point.
I am still in need of that wiring diagram...Thank You ! Scott

HUH.....are you asking what we are talking about? if so its a timer module to allow the use of automatic headlights again with our HID's. Sensor turns lights on when you turn key to start car at night...starting the car turns them back off right away by yanking the voltage away from them which is BAD for the ballasts. The timer goes in between so key turns, sensor trips, timer starts, starting car kills it and timer restarts after car is started, then when timer runs out BAM HID's come on.

unless I am mistaken...the one that I linked to that you can buy would wire inline before the upgrade harness...like this:

KEY ON (at night)>>> Sensor imediately turns headlight circuit on>>>headlight circuit energizes timer and it starts counting>>>TURN KEY TO START>>>kills power to timer>>>CAR STARTS>>>power is restored to headlight circuit, energizes timer>>>TIMER counts down to XX seconds...powers relay in upgrade harness>>>RELAY CLOSES>>>power from battery runs through relay and ignites ballasts.

Or at least thats my idea of how to wire it in. The other option is to wire it into the sensor circuit in the cabin...but I am not sure if that would require other modifications electrically or electronic wise to make the circuit work properly (BackInBlack) might know if a resistor or diode etc would need to be installed.

Wow this is confusing. I want this mod, but I don't think I could successfully wire it myself. I'm no wiring guy by no means at all

Please do, I'd love a write up. I hate wiring. Never really had much problems with it, but I really hate it for some reason.

I may see if I can find a place to purchase the blue headlight adapter connector ends Male and Female I might actually buy a few kits and solder them up and make them a plug & Play kit. I would definitely do it to make a little money but NOT going to screw my fellow GP'ers over...either way it may be after the holidays (money) before I get to it.

I think I am going to order one of these and play around with deciding if I want to go high end (high quality) on the connectors etc...am debating making a plug and play setup for the 3b specialties harness....low end would require cutting the connector end of the harness off and wiring this box in between it and the relay...high end would be completely plug & play but would raise the cost.

Shawn I will let you know how this turns out...if you want me to go ahead and build you one shoot me an email. and we can discuss it...yours would be at cost for parts/shipping...pretty sure I can put a complete plug & play one together for less shipped than they are selling just the timer for via that honda site...and it would be sealed in a project box.
