Dang Scottydoggs....THANKS!
i dont know any other way but on my back lol
what i did was to back the car up on ramps, then jacked it up via the middle of the front sub frame as high up as i could. then put the jack stands under the front rockers. ( mine are solid, no rust) make sure yours are solid before you put a jack stand there.
this gets the whole car off the ground. for a big person like myself i liked the extra room under there.
Getting the whole car off of the ground aint gonna happen....The rockers are GONE. I've been lifting it using the frame....
maybe a board across the under side of the cars body then a jack stand. you need to lower the back of the sub frame, or the rack aint coming out.
oh, dont forget to unplug the wire from the rack if yo got magna steer. the wire leads from the rubber boot area up to the side of the tranny, where it unplugs.
Makes sense, stands on the frame=aint coming down ......DAM......
The sub frame has rubber isolators correct?
theres a bushing under the cap. you can change them if you want to. just depends on how bad they look.
I found the "floor jack crossbeam" at Harbor Freight. I'm hoping that will work to lift the car so I can change the rack.
