Putting Leather heated seats in my 1999 gtp. got a set from 2000gtp.(i dont mind the 97-03 seats) So doing the wiring hook ups

I took the heated switches plate and seats from doner car. I'll eventully get another driver heated seat and retrofit to a pasenger seat as well but thats for a later time.

I have went through every how to write up on heated seats and have not found the answer to where the main harness connector is for heated switch that is in my gtp.most write ups are going to 04+ seats and up iam staying with the 97-03 seats

I took the center console out and found a main connector hanging up top left side with a metal clip with 10 wires in it traced alll the wires and they go to shift release connector light for PRND321. all the factory wires seem to be going to correct locations. no separate wires for switch.

Question is would the heated switch male side seperate connector be found behing the hvac radio controls???? further up the main harness.

Found my car has the 15amp fuse in for the lumbar/heat seats.

Under my driver seat i have all wires pink, blue, black, black white tracer ,and 2 orange coming from main harness with only the with only my cloth seats using the 2 orange, black.black white tracer. so it looks like my car has all the wiring in place with connector its just iam not finding the heat switch connector around the center console area.

What gets me is my stock connector under the seat has the pink and blue wires which means it has to be somewhere in main harness.

    thanks for any help

Well took the hvac controls the radio out and the whole lower center console and can still not find a connector with a pink and blue wires, so its not just wrapped any place.
Although i did find a blue 8 pin connector that was just right of my steering wheel behind the little storge compartment . this was not connected to nothing.

There's also a main bulkhead connector under the steering shaft at least 30 -40wires could fit inside it which might make sense if the heat switch wires would directly plug into the bulkhead on one side and the seat and car side is already done.

Would somebody have the main harness wiring schematic for the 2000gtp maybe i can trace the wire from the seat back to whatever location it comes from.

you could always add a fuse in the fuse box and power it that way. not sure if it needs a relay or not. id think it would.

The way it looks from the switch is i would just have to run the pink and the blue to under the seat and jump it into the main 6 plug. I believe the seat is already powered by the big and small orange wires and grounded by the black wire. Fuse is already in the fuse box. and yeah black/white trace is only the seat beltlight . i should be able to score the the other 3 wires from the switch to the center console lighting. pink and blue should be signal wires of high/low temp.

but i still beleive that pink and blue wire is at some type of connector already in my gtp .

I just put the complete leather package(seats/doorpanels) in the car bout 1 hour ago driver side seat power and lumbar all work so i know its definatly got the juice from the fuse box.

so you need to power the pass side seat completely? your car didnt have a power pass seat?

if thats the case it may be best to go to a junk yard, take the pass side seat harness and find where its plugged in. then use in in your car. takes any guessing out of it.

There is a 2 wire pink and blue connector under the console that is part of the main harness. So just because you have the pink and black wires on the main body harness under the seat, doesn't mean you have the connector for the switch under the console. Here is a pic of the wiring it has been stripped down.

I circled the connectors on photo bucket but so far it's not showing up

Blue is connector is where the pink and blue wires are connected from the main harness to the mini console harness.

Green is the Plug in under the seat

Red is the connector for the switch

Pink is the P/N position switch

Orange is the connector to the main dash harness

    Yellow is the Console Light

Light Blue is for the cig lighter.

Awsome thanks buddy i have another look at my harness to see if any of these are missing. But at least i can see that the RED is not far from the main hook up.

The 3 connectors is dark blue the red and the green i got questions about.
Dark blue... how many wires in the connector and where is it going to
Red...... is this my connector for the heat seat switch with five wires in it? if not how many wires are in the connector
Green where is this going or what is it connected too?

so far this looks like 3 new connectors that I might not have but my main connector (your orange circle) has ten wires in it for whatever i have in there already. does your orange connect have ten as well , that would tell me right there weather i got a completly different harness that plug into the main.

I'll ssend pics of my orange connector to see if it matches up with your harness.
