    Hi have 2001 gtp 3.4 pulley stock exhaust and manifolds and just a u bent.
    Which is better to get a 3’ down pipe with converter or 2.5” do not what to lose lower end power. And is zzp the best won to get. Thanks Ron.
    My converter is staring to rattle so I thing is going bad.

    To answer the question, its 3in or nothing. 2.5in downpipe is not even a upgrade IMO, worthless.

    Converter is rattling or is that rod knock?

    as said... Go 3" and headers, tune would be helpful as well, maybe add in some way to monitor knock... : )

    converter make a rattle once in awhile. you can hear it only when I jack up the car defiantly the converter.

    I am going to change the resonator too. will the new resonator 2 1/4 id fit over the pipe when I cut out the old resonator or will I need an adaptor .still have stock exhaust.

    Leave the stock catback.

    Get a $30~ glasspack to replace the resonator.

    Get a 3" catless downpipe.

    Get a way to scan it. If it's knocking, add more supporting mods. The end.
