    2000 Grand Prix GT.

Rock Auto has two ACDelco Left side window motors, one is $43.79 and appears to be made of mostly aluminum and the other is $60.79 and appears to be made of mostly plastic. Their descriptions are identical. Who wants to tell me which one to buy and why?

You can get a whole new regulator with a lifetime warranty from O'Reilly for about the same price. That's what I did.

Logan so you're saying the more expensive one died in a year? Did you buy the cheaper one then?

Andrew can you link me to the part on O'Reilly? I only see regulators without motors there...

Looks like the price went up since I replaced mine. They're about $90 complete.

Took the door apart, turns out the cable was frayed and all jammed up. After a couple of weeks of trying to open and close a jammed up window regulator im surpised the motor is still running, but it is! Just ordered the ACDelco regulator from rock auto for $45, pep boys wanted $70 for the Dorman part.

Thanks for all of your help Scotty.

Okay so to revive this thread I replaced the regulator with a new AcDelco one from RockAuto, put it all back together and it just doesn't seem to have the power to fully move up and down. It quits out after a few very slow inches of either up or down.

This would make me think the motor is burned out from trying to move the old (and frayed) regulator so many times. However when you remove the motor from the regulator it goes without a problem and seems to be consistent and powerful. What do you guys think? If I buy a new motor I can't return it after I install it so I need to make a decision here...

Just my input, but I've put 5 ebay motor/regulator assemblies into the 3 GP's I've owned. They were all faster than the stock motors, and never once **** out. (though one I did have to repin the connector, because up was down, and down was up)
