upon highway driving last night I noticed cold (ambient) air leaking in through the driver door and into the cabin via the gaps in the window/door lock switch and the door handle. reached behind me and same issue for the rear driver side door. the air flow can be felt many inches from the panel itself; it is fairly significant leakage.

is there a particular seal i should be inspecting for air leakage through the door? upon first inspection of the door, i did not see anything out of the ordinary, and no major seal failures/tears.

Most likely the door regulators have been changed and the internal plastic sheeting (behind the door panel) has been compromised.

Its held in place with a tar like bead of glue and is little more than thin clear plastic sheeting (like a ziploc bag).

sounds like SJ nailed it. you'll have to take the inside door skin off and look it over. you can caulk the plastic seal back on or use some kinds of glue may work well.

There is also a piece of something, looks like a sturdy carpet pad that sits in the fender behind the plastic of the wheel well. That is also to slow down and air heading that way.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
