So i did a WOT the other day in cold weather, and i got a 5* KR spike during my pull at 8.5 psi

Went to autozone got the NOS Racing formula octane booster with Nitro Methane. Did the same WOT to 105mph with a peak of 9.2 psi with 0* of KR

Just a FYI, believe it or not, just thought i would give people a heads up. I will be on e85 by spring and wont need this.

    Yeah.

Super awesome NOSboosterrocketfuel crap gives you 7 additive points.

Which in octane terms, turns your 93 into 93.7 octane.

With all them mods your seeing 5* KR at 8.5 psi on a 97? What size pulley are you running and what octane fuel were you running? I have a 97 with a ported Gen3, 3.4 pulley, powerlog, 2.5 catless DP, and a stock tune and rarely see anything over 6.3* KR at WOT I only run 93 octane. Not saying anything bad its just interesting to see this, Ill have to try this product see what happens because I get way to much KR. I need to get my headers on and my GenV with a good tune.

Octane boosters work, just a lot less than people assume. Plus all octance boosters besides xylene wreak havoc on your engine's internals. Have fun with those, I'll stick to high octane gas and a proper tune any day.

correction, i will have that "real" tune when i get my 65# injectors, N* tb w/LQ4, LS7 lifters, 2.8 pulley(if i see no knock), and e85

getting it tuned locally with hptuners

also putting in TEP clutch packs, zzp 2500 stall converter, 300m, and 7/8 chain

i run a 3.25" pulley, i normally have no KR. But the colder weather is giving me higher boost.

    ^^Welcome to science.

Just because it doesn't knock doesn't mean the tune is in check, especially with your mod list.

Tornado inserts for your intake work too.
