So im new here and have been kicking around the idea of getting a Grand Prix... I have had my eye on two, a 2005 and a 2006 GXP... So i need it broke down to me like a 5 year old, so whats the scoop? i have done some reading around online but didn't see much. Years ago my buddy had a 98 GTP and we did some mods to it, cam, head work, home brew CAI, S/C pulley (i think it was a 2.1, maybe... was the smallest we could go on the S/C), SLP headers, ect. So im wondering if im wasting my time, BTW its going to be for the wife to run around in...

    Thanks for your help,
    Richard

So your question is whether or not you should by a Grand Prix, to a forum full of people that drive them? I have a feeling they will support the idea of buying a Grand Prix.

Tranny cooler from local auto parts store for 40 bucks and install u could do. Not hard
    Shift kit from tripleedgeperformance
Catch can 14 bucks and install free and easy
Tunes aren't cheap. The good ones range from 150-300.

I Boughy tuning software myself and am learning to tune

Main thing is to watch the trans temp and make sure it shifts smooth. Passed that is just like any other Grand Prix obviously check for rust etc.
