odd problem, I'll try and explain as easily as possible.

the DIC doesnt show display, but the side buttons all light up and blink intermittently

the radio doesnt power on, but it does light up

the HVAC is dual climate, and doesnt show display nor does it power up, but it also lights up.

also the HUD fades in and out after about 10 minutes, is this the HUD module or switch??

are these all on a related ground/relay/fuse?

any help would be greatly appreciated

    thanks

I had the same problem it was a fuse under the hood I don't remember it right now. It has to do with your HVAC. For the HUD it is just module not the switch.

Im wondering if it might be the ignition switch, since most if not all the accessories run through there. But as theboss pointed out, it could be something simple like a fuse, so I would start there.

i checked the dash fuses, the fuses were good, i have not checked under the hood yet, it figures about the HUD though, i just sold my good one lol. i just thought it was odd that all three systems (radio,DIC,HVAC) are out. just bought this car 2 days ago 1998 daytona pace car. I'll get back to you. i will check under hood today any other ideas?

Isnt blowing in that the motor isnt working at all? Ive heard of a few having to replace the motor, but there should also be a fuse for that as well. Also, the blower motor resistor might be bad too.

i turn it up full blast and nothing comes from the vents, no sound. i do have a band new blower motor resistor sitting in the box, it cant hurt to try that. the fuses for hvac are good. sucks though that i just sold my blower motor now i cant even try it to see lol.

as far as remember now, the blower resistor controls speeds 1-4 and the 5 ( high speed) was on a fuse. that was for the 3 knob HVAC control.

i have the dual climate HVAC now and im assuming the resistor would be the same. and i have no blow at any speed

I think you may be correct as I ran without the high (5) speed for a very long time, then the others went out due to the ignition switch so I just replaced the switch and the resistor and got everything back to normal.

ok, now it blows but very low, like on full blast if i put my hand about 2-3 inches from the vents i can feel air, but when even at full blast with the vents facing me it doesnt reach me at all. its probably nothing cause i could feel the air through the vents at 80 mph ;p
