I have a 2000 Grand Prix GTX and I am having an issue with the ABS and Trac light coming on every now and then. When it comes on the steering gets tight. I recently replaced 2 front bearings about 3 weeks ago. A week after I replaced them I noticed the issue. I haven't been able to read a code on it yet. Does anyone have an idea of what is happening? I read up on a couple things and people are saying ECM, wiring harness issue, and speed sensor. I just think it is weird that my steering gets tight when these lights pop on.

    Thanks,
    Josh

    Magnasteer.

When the ABS light comes on, your magnasteer stops working.

when my abs light comes on the steering also gets tight. its normal.

i also have yet to scan the abs light, replaced 2 front hubs, and the abs module as well, tends to fail the self test at first start up. once in a blue moon.

I'd look at the wiring that goes to the hubs, one of mine had like, a hair of wire exposed under the insulation and I got all those lights and tight steering randomly.

I just cut out the exposed chunk, soldered in a new piece and used liquid electrical tape and heat shrink tubing to seal it off. No problems since.
