I'm getting 6 mpg less now after light mods, is this normal ? I'm not complaining just curious. Or is it just that I have a hard time driving it without the twizlers spinning. 02 gtp, catless down pipe, jmb fender intake, 180 stat, 605 plugs, wbody flashed PCM, modular 3.5 pulley.

if your driving it with your foot to the floor, yeah, mpg will suffer. re set the dic. and drive it like a old lady for a few days. see what you get then.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Errmmmm.... I'd say you have bigger issues.

I say this because I drive my 99 like the money grubbing dirty hooker she is... I swear she owes me money.

I have this addiction the Wha- Whiiiiiiiiiiine noise at full throttle. If it breaks it breaks, that's what spare parts and maintenance is for right? I drive 80% city too, light to light playing, making Rustangs and Civics mad, making Vettes and Maros wonder what I'm thinking, IDGAF.

19mpg on the DIC, about 15 just city by my calculations.

Amazingly enough, you'd get some fuel economy back by going to 606 plugs, and a 195 t-stat. If I had one of these again, that's what I'd run with the fans set to I at 205 and II at 215.

Also you might be running into the cat test issue. Is your rear O2 sensor connected?

I was about to say, no way you'd get 19 driving like that.

    15, yes.

Sputtering down the highway on the weekends for Date Nights with the GF bumps it back up on the DIC

Reality figures tho are much lower. City is killer.

But 6MPG is crazy low, Unless you stay in 1st everywhere you go and don't care about driving at 5500 rpms to work.

Im not sure what wbody set fans at, they do stay on now after turning eng off. Would I lose any perf running 606 plugs ? 02 sensor deleted in PCM flash.

The OP states 6 mpg less than he used to be getting. Still not a very useful figure though.

Well how are the 605's burning? Do you have much KR? and so on.

If they're a little cold, then it will run and idle better with the 606's. Will be a touch more prone to KR, but I'd pulley up if that's the case.
