Ok im tryin to finish up my car and running into a few problems...

im tryin to wire my boost gauge and oil pressure gauge and i cant find a good ignition wire to tap into, im hopin not to have to put a power switch in. i read to tap into the dimmer wires, but i only found a constant and not an ignition switch. any ideas???

also... what is the best way to get the oil pressure sensor out??? and can I some how tap into the stock boost gauge so i dont have to run another vacuum line, and will it show the higher boost levels??

lowered my car, added spacers and new solid mounts and the engine seems to be out place now, for example the mounts no longer line up. do i need all the spacers or is that not the reason for the misalignment?

thats it for now, thanks in advance, sorry if this is not in the right spot

What year? No you cannot tap into the stock boost gauge. It is electric, the boost gauge you have is mechanical. The boost levels it will show is the boost level it has, no more no less.

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

Add a circuit to your sunroof fuse and run the line over to the gauge.

This is an add a circuit. Your sunroof fuse is switched. Add this in its place and connect the wire to your gauge.

To remove the oil pressure sensor, drain oil and use a wrench to remove stock sensor. Install sensor that came with the gauge. (depending on what gauge you got, you'll probably need a thread adaptor). As for the lowering, Bio or Drunkie could probably answer that. Im thinking you may need shorter dog bones.

Is there a spot in the engine to tap into a vacuum line to hook up an aftermarket mechanical vacuum/boost gauge?

The best place to get power from is the ignition harness under the steering wheel. Use a meter and probe the big gauge ignition, acc, batt, and second ign/acc wires there they can handle the load and its probably close to your gauges. Never use t-taps on anything ever especially these wires. Also I've always been a fan of oil filter sandwich adapters for oil temp and pressure gauges. It gives you lots of room to work with and is easier imo. 30$ on eBay. On my 3100 i taped the upper intake for my boost gauge, it should be a dedicated line to be accurate right?
