My service engine soon light came on this morning so I went to Auto Zone for a free scan. The following codes came up on the computer and I have a more detailed print out that the guy gave me.

    P0102:

(Man. absolute pressure)/BARO or MAF(Mass Air Flow) / VAF(Vane Air Flow) sensor condition.

    Possible Causes:
    1. Vaccuum hose off, cracked, or passage blocked.
    2. Throttle body intake tube loose, off or cracked
    3. Barometer/MAP defective
    4. Vane Air Flow/Mass Air Flow sensor dirty or defective

    P1133:

Heated Oxygen sensor - Bank 1 Sensor 1 (H02S11), insufficient switching

    Possible Causes:
    1. Failed H02S11 (Bank 1, Sensor 1) heater circuit.
    2. H02S11 (Bank 1 Sensor 1) signal shorted the ECM ground
    3. Improper oxygen supply to sensor - Check sensor connector and wires

The guy recommended to put some fuel cleaner but I don;t know if thats just a sales pitch. Would you guys have any recommendations??? How safe would it be to drive it for now? thanks again!

check the wires from the plug to the maf for damage, if they look ok its time for a new maf, junk yard mafs are cheap and work better then after market maf's. theres also a fuse for the maf, check that as well.

and it looks like you need a new o2 sensor. again check the wires that lead to it, as they can get burnt or damaged as well. that would be the one in the rear manifold back side of the engine.

bad gas mileage. and a clogged cat if your o2 is making the engine over fuel.

I have noticed the engine sound "louder" or perhaps the sound coming out of the muffler sounds "rougher" than usual. So I don;t know if any of that is relevant. The car has 227,000 miles.

exhaust is probably rotting out on you. but the codes you have could make the car run poorly as well.

used maf's are like 40 bucks or less at a junk yard, the o2 cost around 30 to 40 new. if a pig tail has gone bad, they cost about 10 bucks new.

all easy stuff that should be addressed.

once its clogged it need to be replaced.

if it was clogged up the car would feel gutless, and the check engine light would flash when you floor it.
