the 04's had the plan old LS1. nothing special. they didnt get "quick" unil 05-06 witht he LS2.

I have a buddy here in town that has a STOCK 04 GTO. runs 14.6's all day long. very consistent. he has tried different lanches, this and that. He can drive it..... but it cant go any faster.

the 04's were severely under powered. they are heavy!!!!!
