So taking part in Meshif's thread, there was discussion about Speed Daddy headers jumping up to over $700.00 (yes that is correct, 7 - 0 - 0 doll hairs)

I thought no way, went to check, yup. Thought this has to be a typo, looked around their store, nope, same. So I emailed them.

Said email -
Dear speed_daddy,

What has changed about these headers?

I ask because you have chosen to TRIPLE the retail value of these over the past month. They were the best bargain and the ones recommended most by the forums, but now they are the most expensive ones listed. At their current price, they are only $50 less than SLP Headers which are presumably the best headers you can buy on the market, so I would assume that they are now of the same quality. Better brackets supplied than before, fixed the issue with single wall flex pipes and upgraded to a double wall flex as SLP did, using better metals than the cheaper steel previously used.
Please let me know what has changed to warrant the drastic increase in price.

For the record, without a list of reasons with the increased price you will likely loose substantial business with the 3800 community, Pacestter will probably pick up on sales as they are now the better choice. Please explain why we should continue to recommend you for headers.

Sincerely, TL.

The response I got was a little puzzling... I think they are dropping the line-up completely.
Dear tlsheff,

I do apologize, but this item is currently backordered. It was raised in price because our listing department has flagged it for removal. They are working to get the flagged listings removed.

Thank you,
I am sending a follow-up response to be certain of whether or not they will be completely dropping the sale of headers for our cars, if it is then we will need to revise the Header Thread as it will not be the best bang for the buck, and the price has dropped down to $225 for the SSAC headers from $299 as it states in the thread.

Just thought I would bring this to light for the regulars.
