SO I am having an issue with my outside temp reading way to low. I have changed the ambient temp sensor 2 times now and changed my control unit with one that I know works for sure (pulled it out of my friends car gives me the same reading. if it's 80 outside it reads 21 degrees. I have checked the connections and ran the diagnostics through the control unit no errors. Also when I unplug the temp sensor it throws an open connection code so the wiring is good. Any ideas ???

Check the wiring to the external sensor. I had an issue with this myself and found that something had caused the wire to break internally and caused it to read extremely low. The sensor itself ended up being good.

Or you could unplug the one on the car.. tap in near the HVAC and see if that fixes the reading. if so.. trace it out/rewire it.
