I put the Northstar throttle body on my car. The Idle Air Control Valve (suppose to have been tested before shipped to me from Intense) clicks with the key on. There's not pattern to it, just click click click with long and short pauses... I turn the key off, it stops. I took it out and replaced it with my IAC off my L36 throttle body that was working when I removed it from the old motor, same thing...

Is this normal with the car not running? I've never noticed it before, but never have I listened for it either...

Does it work? My guess is you never had a reason to hear it before so you didn't.

LMAO that's a good question. I mean the car fires up with ease, idles as it should just a little high (but I have no exhaust on it other then headers), I can't tell anything when I drive one way or the other. It's just clicking. I've read that they do this for a period of time then stop. IF the car is in diagnosis mode (again I read this) it does it nonstop until out of diagnosis mode. Well mine doesn't stop, I was wondering if it could be something in the tune.

Pretty sure I've over analyzed them before and heard clicking. If you hear the clicking..it's likely the radio isn't loud enough.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

My parents hate the fact that i drive a 12 year old car so every time theres even the slightest click or groan from the car they flip out. I always leave the radio on with them in the car. Its nearly perfect they just need to shut up. I love my 5.5 seccond 0-60 times.

True!! Very true!! I just have the wife, as long as it's not loud and doesn't rumble her to sleep I'm golden!! Told her I was building the car, she said have fun.. LOL So to keep her happy, I yanked the Blowmasters off putting Borla's on. Guess I'll have to turn the radio up higher now.. LOL
