So I decided to take a little trip to a buddies house roughly 40 miles away. I just had my oil changed yesterday so when I am almost there I hear a ticking noise so I am like what the #*@& is that. I get there and i check the oil it is almost perfect mayyybe a tad low so I buy another quart and add about half start the car and let it run noise goes away. Sweet. Then about half way home the noise starts back up car isn't leaking oil or anything so again I am like what the #*@&. So I pull over to avoid causing any more damage and call the tow truck. The driver (which also used to be my mechanic) he says that it sounds like a lifter collapsed so if anyone has any info that could possibly save me some money I would greatly appreciate it.
