I had an accident on the front drivers side. Now I can get the car to turn over, but that is all. None of the electronics are working on the car. Only the indicator lights on the dash panel are flashing. I've checked all the fuses, but the only constant is the fuel pump relay clicking. Is this an ECM problem? I would appreciate your help.

Check your battery connections since this is right where the battery sits. Did you check the underhood fuse panel for any blown fuses? How about the wiring harness for cut/chaffed wires?

I've checked all of the fuses. The battery sits on the passenger side and the ecm is on the drivers side. I thought it may be a bad ecm or bcm. The only power I'm getting to the car is the ignition switch. Does the bcm activate all of these electronics and the fuel pump? The harness looks ok and I don't see any damaged wires. The a/c and fuel pump relays click continually. I've changed them with no success.

When I unplug the bcm the relay clicking stops. When I plug it back in I can hear the door chime for a short time. Is there a way to test this?

    what side got hit?

check the battery cables and the grounds on the bell housing.

After re-reading the original post it looks like the drivers side got hit. Reading skillz- I gots em, lol... Sorry schwarry! Depending on where it got it it's possible the ECM is screwed up since it lives in the airbox.

The drivers side got hit. Is the ground on the battery side, or is there more than one ground? The car turns over just fine, but thats about it.

if its cranking, the battery is fine. what you need to do is find out if its spark or fuel your not getting now.

take a plug wire off the coil, and prop it so is like a 1/2 inch over the coils where it was plugged in, then crank the engine, look for a spark to jump to the wire from the coil.

if you have some starting fluid spray that inside the intake while cranking the engine if it fires up your getting a spark, and need to find out why the fuels not getting there.

did the air bags go off? that may have something to do with no fuel. if its a no fuel case.

on the fuel rail is a valve, like a tire air valve, but fatter, find that, and push the center in, put a rag over the valve, then push it with a screwdriver. the rag will keep the gas from shooting in your face, if theres fuel pressure. if no gas shoots out, that means your not getting gas.

There were no airbags deployed. I'll check the spark and let you know. I know its not getting fuel, because the pump is not priming and the relay is clicking constantly. Even if I get it to start, none of the electronics in the car are working. Only the indicator lights on the dash. Also, the park switch must not be working or maybe its the solenoid, because the key won't come out in park unless i manually push the solenoid. Are all of these things tied into the ecm or bcm?

being you got hit on the pass side. in the fender is a resistor, its for the fuel pump.

try this, if it works, you know that resistor has been damaged. this is in the under hood fuse box.

It was hit on the drivers side, but I will try this too. What about the rest of the electronics in the car? Nothing is working.....only the starter.

It didn't get smashed, but I'm sure it took a good vibration. Would the ecm keep my whole electrical system from working?

it could, you never know with electronics.

check the ground wires are all still on the bell housing, if your standing at the bumper looking at the engine, it under the exhaust cross over, on the tranny bell housing. there should be 3 wires there. one fat wire, that goes back to the battery, and the rest for other main car grounds.

Are you always on here? I'll take a look at that, along with seeing if it gets any spark. If they are tight and sparking then I must have a bad module. Just not sure which one. I'll get back with you tomorrow.
    Thanks for your help!

Well, the car does have spark. I'm going to try and replace the ecm and see if that works. I now have another issue, and that's a cracked differential cover. UGHHH!

Ok. After looking on the drivers side all that time, the small ground on the battery cable was cut. Everything is working now.
