Maybe an Hvac connector. Tough to say w/o ESI in front of me.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

see that wierd yellow wire that's sorta clear makes me really curious but even if it is Hvac or stock amp what I am wondering is since it was just hanging there can I just tap into it for switched power without hurting anything? Or now that I think of it can I just tap into my analog DIC connter as well (I have a digital one hooked up)

Is there a part# on it?

Also I tried to PM you about those mouldings but:Logan451 has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.

    Sorry for the hijacking.

Do you have the digital Driver Information Center(DIC) or the Heads Up Display(HUD)?
If you don't, I believe that it might be the plug for DIC.
Some '97-'98 GT owners, who wanted to add the digital DIC, have found the plug for it behind the glovebox.
The plug eliminated a lot of splicing.

As per your PM, my email: pgr40@yahoo.com

I had an analog converted to Digital (Plug was behind box like you said) but it is a different type connector and this plug is behind glove box and near floor would never reach up that high to dash. Just want to know that since it is an unsed plug and I tap into that or my DIC analog plug for switch power to some accessories leds I added and a cb radio
