Well, hopefully this is an easy question to answer. I followed the ignition switch repair guide by sparky to the T and everything went fine up to the reinstall. After installing the new harness and replacing the key and tumbler, the key will not turn counter clockwise from the OFF position nor will it release. I also tried the manual release button, no luck. What might have gone wrong?

I'd like to leave work sometime soon, hopefully a fast response comes.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Got it squared away, found another post on here about keys not coming out, solved it.

Mod can delete this if they please.

try taking the tumbler and key back out, make sure the key turns the lock, then re install it, maybe you just not set in place right.

I'm assuming it was something little like that. I took everything back apart, examined everything, then assembled again and it worked.

A side note, ACDelco seriously needs better quality control. One of the wires for the key buzzer switch was about 2 inches shorter than the rest, made it impossible to install without some rerouting of wires. Wish I would have taken a picture.
