Ive owned 2 GP's so far a 94 SE coupe and my current 03 GP GT Sedan. I love my GT but the thought of having +60 hp with a GTP makes me want to buy one today. My GT just hit 100k and the paint is bubbling on the outside of the rear quarter panel. Tomorrow im test driving a 02 GTP Coupe, 80k leather seats NO RUST in my price range. So what im asking besides the rust around my strut towers and anywhere else what should I be looking for maybe common problems with these? I have no idea what to look for when it comes to the supercharger. Any advice is much appreciated.

check to see if it has headers, possibly modded.... take a pic of the engine if you can and post it if you have time.
Just drive it and see how it feels, you'll notice the difference...it should feel smooth, beside the torque steer.

It's not worth it lol either way it's slow and it's only good for being a daily driver, I'd just keep the L36 there's less things to break

I test drove it today it passed everything on that common problems list. Got it out on the interstate and WOW the power in comparison to my GT was extremely impressive. Even if it is my daily driver and grocery getter means ill still beat those ricers on my way. My first time I got it WOT it did have this odd hesitation but it wasn't exactly a hesitation im familiar with. It quickly corrected itself, you could feel it slam your head back than it hesitated and within a millisecond it was better and i did several WOT tests and it only happened that one time. Any ideas?

The lag from the double down shifts probably, did you manually down shift the car yourself?

Try manually downshift it and most speeds 2 is your best option just don't try to manually up shift also

Well if your cruising in a stock GP at say 55mph in 4th gear then you floor it, it'll shift into 3rd then it'll shift into 2nd then it'll go so manually downshifting to 2nd will skip this and give you a better feeling of speed and allow for quicker acceleration

How could a person tell if the lim gaskets were changed or not? Its not on the Carfax and it has Green coolant so mabye it had a leak and they decided to put green in? Is green coolant in the oil any different than dex in the oil turning the oil into a milkshake?

But is there any way to know if someone changed the gasket and then put green in it?

If it look at the right between the lim and the head you should be able to if the gasket is aluminum or plastic. Aluminums good. Plastic bad.
