I want to do some exhaust work but theres so many options I thought I would ask whats the best to do first.
I was looking at doing a zzp 3" cat'd dp then eventually powerlog w/ crossover and ported rear manifold. What should I do first or would it be more worth my time and money to go for the pacesetter headers with cat and zzp pro kit?

uhhh forget all of what you just said...

Get a set of SD/SSAC headers.

Next, this is the easy part...leave the catback stock.

Yea and what 99pgp said. The 3.8 stock catback provides great flow up to around 300hp or so. So headers maybe new muffles or resonator and bam u good to go!!

How much you got to spend? Lol...

You going to show (stainless) or race (anything will do)?

Are you planning future mods and what's your plan? I went against the grain and spent a little more on the ceramic Pacesetters and couldn't be happier. Sure... SD's ... Everybody's got them, what the hell. It just all depends what you want.

Do research, set short term and long term goals and consider where best to spend $. Headers are all pretty much the same, with some minor exceptions. Read the link, read all tHe opinions, ask questions, when you're sure what you want, read and ask again...

    Then go for it ...

...oh, by the way, recently changed my cat-back (to 3") and liking it!!!

I wont race or show I want my system to be louder but not crazy drone in the cabin and more free flowing to get more power out of my system. Price I dont care too much. I am planning some other mods possible some higher ratio rockers but for sure a shift kit, probably thrasher.

You can always just do headers first, it's best thing to do first as it sets the table for future mods. Open cone as well as they don't need to be tuned. Shift kit is good for tranny and will allow you to drop pan, change filter and oil too which is good. You could always do Catback later if you really want to but as mentioned, it's not needed up front. There's tons of sound dsamples on YouTube if you search GTP/exhaust lol... I would only suggest to not rush into anything, take your time to make decision.

What my main concern is, is there any difference between headers and the zzp powerlog, crossover, rear mani and dp? Im leaning towards zzp just cus its zzp. also i live in canada so shipping costs rape the wallet so

Power log is only on front half of engine, the down pipe is not needed with headers, so...

Yeah, there are gains with the power log, rear mani and DP... Some like it that way. To me, headers opens up just a little more flow and is a more betterer investment. Lol

ZZP is ok, but they are most expensive on most things. You can shop around and get better pricing. But like everything, know where you are buying from.

Alright thanks for all the info. I have found zzp little more on the pricey side but I'm not to worried for parts cost. Its just the shipping costs that is whats going to make or brake a deal for me. Ill keep looking around a bit.
