    I have a 2008 GP GXP that i have a few questions/problems with

    1) The traction control wont come off hitting the button. looks possibly like its stuck down? is there anyway of getting it back up? i used compressed air to get thatr crap out of it, shot it with a little windex with no luck..

    2) Right rear wheel TPMS says 128psi, i have it set at 30psi, how can i change or reset that?

    3) Washer fluid light says its low, but it is infact filled to the brim with washer fluid.. any help?

    4) what is that little fan behind the dash to the right of the steering wheel called? Ive read up on it and tried searching on Rockauto for a new one without any help. Ambient air temp? ive heard it called all different assortment of things.

    5) what kind of warrantys did these come with from the factory? mine has 80,000 on it, still under?

I think thats it. Thanks for any help..

    Hey bro. Welcome

OK for question 1 u can use a key to pry the button off and clean under it. Mine was acting the same way a while back

Question two...not quite forsure what acronym tpms means.

Question 3. You need to replace the pump/sensor for that. To do so you'll need to remove the passenger side fender well that's around the tire

Question 4. The thing to right of steering wheel is the air temp sensor for the auto temp controls on gxp

Edit. As for warranty...I dunno mine didn't have one

The TPMS is the tire pressure monitor system, aka Valve stem sensors.

You need to use a TPMS tool to reset them, alot of tire shops can do that cheap around here atleast.

But here is the catch, if they use the tool and the tool also says that the sensor is reading 128 psi, the sensor is faulty and you need a new one. Those run anywhere from 35-80 bucks depending on where you live and the style sensor it is.

O yes that's correct. Mine doesn't have that cause 2007 is when they started using it.

For your tpms issue just reset it from the driver info menu which also might take care of you're traction control lamp. For you're window washer issue make sure the sender is plugged in the resovoir

Somehow didnt get any emails about this thread. But thanks for all the help.

I still havent had time to look at the washer fluid sensor, but its working fine now, just annoying to see that light all the time come up..

TPMS- havent had time either. I just bought that rim and tire from someone else, i wonder if its even in the tire then?

i had to buy both drivers side lateral arms the other day, before i bought it looks like the ole tow truck hooked onto those and bent both of them. 92bucks each from GM. drives straight now! lol

I need to get a keyless entry fob, just having a key is annoying! overall this car is very enjoyable (just picked it up if you havent noticed) does turning off the traction control still maintain some type of system where you cant roast the tires off? Seems like when you hit it off, itll still kick in if it senses no traction?

I have an '04 GT1 GP and I've also had a similar issue with the windshield washer fluid indicator on my DIC so I checked it out. I noticed that the level was low enough that I could no longer see it and in a couple days I ran out of fluid. I filled it back up, but the low fluid indicator didn't go away. I was stumped. It was so full that I could see it at the top! It was by no means low. Dealt with this for about two weeks, then started looking for a replacement sensor... didn't really want to spring for it because installation looked difficult and it wasn't worth the money for the sensor because it really wasn't hurting anything. I found out where the sensor was located (up in the passenger side of the bumper) and beat the crap out of the sensor and pushed on the fitting for the plug to make sure it was connecting fine. Surprise, a day or two later the problem went away and it's been a few months and it has not resurfaced!

Here is the part for my car, should be the same for yours not I'm not completely sure! about $22 at rockauto RockAuto Parts Catalog

Great, thank you! ill look into it, maybe use some contact cleaner on the contacts and go from there. did you have to take out the plastic wheel well or just reach up inside?

Easiest way for me to get to it was to take off the passenger side headlight actually! Pretty quick and painless!
