How to get good gas mileage:
- Fresh iridium spark plugs every 100,000 miles
- Fully-inflated tires
- Aluminum lower intake manifold gasket - if you don't have this, the nylon stock ones eventually warp and you burn coolant, lowering mpg.
- Clean throttle body
- Clean maf sensor
- "hot air" intake - for you, it's a 9" dry (not oiled) cone strapped to your maf sensor tube, air box removed. Leave the MAF screen in - it's necessary.
- Maybe headers
- Keep your foot out of the throttle
- Emptying your junk out of the car
Things that will get you worse gas mileage:
- Believing that guy your dad knows is a mechanic
- A chip
- A tornado
- Magnets
- Any other snakeoil junk you've heard of
