Okay so a few weeks ago my 97 GTP decided it dididn't want to start well come to find out the starter was starting to go out. Well then the battery took a shi* so we replaced the battery and the starter is still slowly going out so the husband gets a starter for it we replace it and now it's still doing the whole turn key over "click" "click" "click" and eventually it starts after 8-10 turnovers any suggestions what the problem could be? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Check the wiring, He may have a loose wire or a bad ground.

How was your starter slowly going out? Ususally they either work or they don't. Also it could be an ignition switch.

I will have them look into those ideas and dsmuts because when it started doing the click click and eventually have to get under the car and hit the starter it would start but before he changed the starter I would have to put the car in neutral and push it back or forth and it would start but it is very annoying to be at the store or somewhere and get in the damn car and try to start it all it does is click lol

Autoparts stores will test the starter. I had the same issue when I dropped in my new motor which boiled down to loose ground to the transmission. Sounds like the neutral safety start switch may be at fault and worth a look if the simply measures dont work. The starter needs current to work so it can be tested with a digital multi meter and some you tube video as well as manuals such as the haynes manual to figure it all out.

ignition switch, crank relay, pnp switch and pcm are all part of that circuit.
