They gotta be pressed in if I recall correctly?
i clicked on here hoping to see toast not more racekar parts damn you
How do I do that I though control arm bushings have to be pressed in. Can i just pop that bolt out and slid new bushings in?
Matt ill give you ****ing toast!!!!!!!!
i like waffles better thanks for the offer tho
You can get a whole new control arm. I got Moog ones for mine for 60 bucks for each side and that includes those new bushings, and new lower ball joints on the control arm. Less of a hassell. Check local auto parts store or advanced auto online and use a discount code. Or rock auto

Yeah but changing ball joints are a *****
No. If u buy a new control arm than it comes with it all put together. So all u have to do is take old control arm out and put new on. The new one will have new ball joints riveted on and new bushings

dont bother changing the bushings, just get new lower control arms, your ball joint is shot as well if the one bushing looks that bad.
dorman lca's cost me 98 bucks shipped to my door for the pair.
it was the last thing i changed and all the clunking and thuds stopped after i changed them. car rode like new again. well at least it felt better.
Great how-to by dsmuts

I've never done any ball joint/control arm work to these cars before. If I buy a hole new arm do I just unbolt and bolt on? I thought I had to get the ball joint tool (giant arm thing) and undoing the old ball joint is a pain ect?
Exactly. If ya want I can copy some pics and how to info on here for u

I read that write up and it seems doable but I know for a face every bolt on my arms are gonna be frozen tight....
Well either way u gotta take the arm off so just soak em in pb blaster or do what I've done a few times and use a torch and heat the bolts off. Either way gets them off

Why would I have to remove the arms to change the bushings?
