I have been reading around about how to make my exhaust on my 2003 gt sound a little deeper and sexier, and I have read so many different theories that my head is spinning. Ive read that a resonator delete and putting in a glass pack with the original mufflers will make it throatier and deeper but then I read that that doesn't work and it will be raspy. I also have read that magnaflow or flowmaster muffs sounds great, but then I read they are also raspy and not worth it. I later...read that nothing but a borla muffler will sound good or just keep you original mufflers. :/ I am in no way really a mechanic, and i couldnt do a ubend delete or any of that stuff, all I want is my exhuast slightly louder and deeper... I don't want it too loud though. Help would be greatlyyy appreciated.

it all depends on personal opinion.
3800's do not sound very nice at all when you hit the gas.
therefore most people like to do the cheapest thing which is get a glasspack in place of the res and keep stock mufflers. i suggest you try that first as it is the cheapest and easiest thing to do, if you want it louder then look into youtube for some video clips on different mufflers.

I was thinking of putting a pair of magnaflows on there and keeping the rest stock and calling it a day...what u think about that? Would it sound nice and worth the money?

Flowmaster and magnaflows normally always drone because they are chambered style mufflers.

If you like drone, buy them.

I have full borla exhaust, doesn't drone to bad at all. Quiet tone until you step on it then the exhaust gets with the program.

I've heard some decent sounding grand prixs before though. Wasnt a deep farting tone eiter that my magnaflows sound like, it was like- rumbling v8 status (terrible analogy but you get the point)

    No, they don't.

    Especially with no resonator.

Here is my car with Flow 40's no cat, no res...if this sounds good to you then you need your ears checked: XP Cam Start Up video by bluegtp03 | Photobucket

Then, I added a factory resonator: GTP Exhaust - YouTube

After that, bigger cam, ported heads, glasspack instead of factory res, proflo style muffler, and full 3" all the way back to 4" tips, no standard mufflers like you all run: GTP Big Cam Idle/Rev - YouTube

ANY for of resonator is the KEY to a decent exhaust note, the cat is not. Quiet mufflers is also what you want, because Magnadrone's and Dronemaster's and Blowla's all sound poopy and tinny.

What? So if my magnaflows are quiet and farty-ish, a slightly resonator, lets say 14in body, will just make it louder? Will it change the tone of the exhaust?
