I recently aquired an 03 gp with the 3.4l engine and it has 2 problems. The cel is on which i know is the cat converter (code p0420) and the heat and ac only blow out thru the defroster. Its getting cold out and i would liketo fix this. Are the blender doors ran from engine vacuum? It doesnt look likethe radio or the climate controls have ever been tampered with. Didnt see any loose or cracked vac lines under the hood but i could have missed something. The windshield was replaced, dont know if the climate control vac line is close to tbe windshield. So where or what should i do 1st? Thanksin advanced.

Also the buttone that allows the air to come from the engine compartment is always lit, if i press the other b uttom (that allows the inside air to circulate) it does nothing but make the other buttom flash a few times. And i do know of the car being in a fender bender on the drivers fender. Its all been fixed but is there a vac line in there?

    reticulated wont work on defrost.

under the hood is a vac tube, it runs around the engine bay and hooks to the engine, and back into the cab of the car, it works the vac pumps that move the air flow direction.

look for any broken, or lines not plugged on on the engine.

being you have a 3.4 engine, i have no clue where this line hooks up.

You have a vacuum leak. Look under the hood. Thanks for joining for a googleable question.
