Im putting in an HUD gauge pod planning on putting in a boost gauge and af gauge. Would it be within my best intrest to just go straight for a wide band or should i start with a normal af for now till i get to where im gonna need to tune an such?

Thats up to you although i'll admit the Wideband is better.

BTW, if you need an A/F gauge I have an Autometer Sport-Comp AF gauge I don't need if interested. I had it on my other car before I sold it. E-mail if you wanna learn more...

anormal a/f ratio gauge is literally a light show and thats it, i would bite the bullet now and geta wideband. i have the aem uego, it looks nice.

a wb will also tell you if you have fueling issues becaues youll be able to see the ACTUAL af ratio

I'm planning to cut the cost of the WB by buying the sensor and wiring it up to my Powrtuner since it already has the inputs. Only time I would really be looking at it is during tuning anyways.

Just a suggestion if you have one with the inputs.

How would you wire it up to the tuner? This could save some serious bucks for me.

Get a tuner before a wideband, since you can't truely use a wideband without a tuner. Oh and don't get a narrowband A/F ratio ever, they are just good for a useless lightshow.

Powrtuner's are pretty easy to use and you can get them for pretty cheap in the classifieds.
