...or, even might check the heater core hoses that attach to the alternator bracket. One local recently had the o-ring under the fitting go out, and was spraying coolant out.

Could also be your water pump. Check the back side of the pulley to see if its wet, as when these start to leak/fail, they will leak out of the seal on the shaft behind the pulley. As you drive, it flings the coolant everywhere.
