Any opinions about this thing? I found it in a junkyard GP. Any of you guys running these things? I'm not looking for any power gain from the engine.. But the promise of better heated seats, rear defrost and related stuff is awesome, considering it's already getting chilly around here.

I had it on my old GT it helped with some stuff. No power gain but basically it increased the ' electrical juices' in the car.Headlights were a tad brighter, windows rolled down quicker, starting improved, and rear defrost was better.A few other minor things too.Its a good little toy.

Alright. Thank you! I wasn't sure if I should throw it right on. But it takes like 15 seconds so what the hell. I'll toss it on tomorrow morning. Paid 3 bucks for it. Haha.

I have an aftermarket Viper 5704 alarm and remote start. Will I be okay if I buy a voltage booster? Only want the regular 1 I don't want stage 2. Thanks for your input :-)

Put it in this morning. Certainly helped the heated seat warm up faster. Headlights seem a little bit brighter. Starts easier too. Just bump the key to the start position and the engine turns on. I'd recommend this little thing.

i believe it bumps you to a 15.volt system, the stage 2 is 16 volt, most electronics dont like that load but if you have multiple items running in the car the load will be lower.

    mmmmmmm voltage.

icm will regulate to the same level anyways.

Also curious how it starts faster?

The battery voltage drops to 12.5 or less once the alternator is done (i e off)

    So placebo effect again.

I had an S1 for 3 months. Then one morning my car wouldn't start. The battery was dead and could not be re-vived. I got a new battery and did some testing. With the S1 I was seeing 15.2 volts (14.9/15.0 at the battery). Upon removing the voltage booster, I was seeing 14.2 volts. All has been fine for over a year, and I have an S1 sitting in my parts pile.

i did the voltage booster and alternator power wire mod on my GTP and definitely have increased voltage output according to the DIC and a DMM. i basically bought these mods when i first got the car while i was saving for larger parts, just for something to do. they were cheap and easy to install with some cool little benefits; easier starts, brighter lights, faster windows, etc.
